Endotine Midface Lift
An endotine midface lift corrects sagging areas in the middle of a person's face, between the lower eyelids and mouth, and is also sometimes referred to as a cheek lift. This procedure restores sagging tissue in the cheek and midface area, resulting in an all over more youthful appearance. The lines between the nose and the corners of the mouth, often called laugh lines, may also appear reduced and smoother after an endotine midface lift. An endotine midface lift procedure involves the implantation of a special device called an endotine device, which has five small holders or tines which grasp tissue and hold it in place. One the midface tissue begins to reattach to the bone, the endotine device gradually absorbs, which is often desired over non-absorbable sutures.
