Eyebrow Lift
An eyebrow lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure also commonly referred to as a brow lift or a forehead lift. This procedure is used to correct drooping eyebrows and sagging forehead skin that may result as part of the natural aging process. An eyebrow lift also smooths out deep horizontal forehead lines and wrinkles, as well as the furrows between the eyebrows which can cause people to look tired or angry. The incisions made in a typical eyebrow lift procedure are positioned in the hairline so as not to be visible. Tiny cameras called endoscopes are also commonly used in eyebrow lift procedures. An endoscope is inserted into a small scalp incision, allowing a doctor to see under the skin without having to create large incisions.
Fast Facts
- An eyebrow lift usually takes between one to three hours to complete.
- Patients may return to work within 7 to 10 days after an eyebrow lift, and perhaps sooner if an endoscope is used.
