Male Breast Implants

Male breast implants are a form of aesthetic or plastic surgery. Another name for the procedure is pectoral implant surgery. The purpose is to increase the size and improve the shape of the individual's chest. Male breast implants are similar to female breast implants. Both use silicone, but male breast implants consist of solid silicone rather than a gel. Pectoral implants, like those for women, come in a range of sizes and shapes. They are devised to feel exactly like the male's own chest muscles. The operation lasts approximately 2 hours. The typical procedure is for the plastic surgeon to make an incision through 1 of 3 places: the armpit, the lower breast or the areola of the nipple fashioning a pocket. He or she then inserts the implant into the pocket. Self-dissolving stitches close the incision. The individual then spends between 5 days and a week recovery time.
